From: Madison, WI
Sounds Like: High Places meets Ratatat meets Moon Duo
Reason to listen: Peaking Lights is made up of band members Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis (yes, the band is well-aware that their initials = A.C.I.D.). They also have a sweet practice basement filled with crazy, homemade synthesizers, which these creative masterminds fiddle around with to make some psychedelically soothing music.

From: London/Lake District, UK
Sounds Like: Atmospheric pop-rock
Reason to listen: Led by 23-year-old James Bennett, this 5-piece outfit describes their genre on Facebook as “shoegaze indie pop big beat”. Their music has Local Natives’ harmonies, Grizzly Bear’s sense of nostalgia and Fanfarlo’s Britishness.
