CMJ Must Sees! Part 1

Words by Lee Cahill, Bands by Sarah Besnard

CMJ is next week!!! AKA the College Music Journal’s Music Marathon & Film Fest AKA the best thing to happen to NYC on a yearly basis. (Don’t argue – you know it’s true. Wait you don’t know? Well then…)

CMJ is not only great because it often awards the radio station that I used to DJ at (ahem, WKDU) station of the year, it also brings over 1,000 bright-eyed and bushy-tailed bands to the city. (Kinda like the SXSW of NYC.) Of course, there are a TON of bands so you have to weed through them and get your schedule together. How else will you beat all the hipster music nerdos to the best shows? Wait. YOU DON’T HAVE A SCHEDULE YET? IT’S NEXT WEEK!!! Don’t panic. You can have mine.
